New Textures Video

We just finished up a video illustrating the new textures overlay feature in Exposure 4. I suggest that anyone who has used Exposure 4 watch it. We discuss the different looks you can get with textures as well as how to customize them for your specific needs.

This version of Exposure overlays real textures of artifacts from actual photography. This is why they look so real. It behaves differently than the procedural effects from the previous versions.

hi, I also liked the “old” scratches and dust-style from exposure 3, you could have included them in 4.

Hi Andi, we decided that using real photographic textures look much better. If we left the old technique in, it would have been more UI clutter, confusing to some and more code to maintain. I wrote the original code and it is hard throwing away something that you spend time working on but I think from the perspective of software development it was the right thing to do.

okay, thanks for your answer! …so I’ll just keep on using exposure 3 at times 🙂
