500px.com apps

If you are a fan of 500px.com and use an iOS device then there are apps for that. They have been out for a while, but I just discovered them, so I’m spreading the word. Both apps are free.

There is an official 500px app for the iPad. The iPad app is good and fairly consistent with the quality and look of the 500px.com web site. Don’t let the negative app store reviews turn you off. Those are from people who don’t want to create a 500px.com account.

There isn’t an official 500px app on the iPhone, but ISO500 does a great job. This is a good example of a non-standard user interface that is attractive and works well.

If you aren’t familiar with 500px then I encourage you to explore it. The photography quality level is off the charts. The browsing experience is tasteful and pleasant. When I’m on that site I feel like I’m in good hands.
