Welcome to the Alien Skin blog!

Finally, a soap box for us to yell from! Here we will post interesting items about Alien Skin Software, our products, photography, and design. We might even talk occasionally about entrepreneurship and business philosophy.

Comments are on. You can also have a private conversation with us through the Support link at the top of the page. Anything really cool from private conversations will probably make it back to the blog. If you’d like to share your photos then visit our Flickr group.

When or will all your Photoshop plug-ins get upgraded to 64-bits for use with Adobe Photoshop CS5? For example Xenofex 2.5.1 is not yet 64-bit.

The conversion to 64-bit is our top development priority right now. Exposure 3 and Bokeh 2 are 64-bit now. The 64-bit update of Eye Candy 6 hasn’t been announced because we are still testing it, but if you’d like to try it then you can grab it from the downloads link at the top of this page. Xenofex 2 and our other products will get 64-bit updates before the end of the year. I wish I could give hard dates, but “as fast as we can” is the most I can promise. We will announce each update in the blog after it has been thoroughly tested.

I’m wondering if I am out there by myself. When I switch my CS 5 to 32 bit in order to use Blow-up, the software stops dead in it’s track. Have any of you been able to work around the 32 bit problem or is it not a problem at all. By the way I am using a MacPro dual 2.8 with 8 GB of ram.
