3D Metal Gears in Eye Candy

We have been busy adding tutorials to our new support area. This one is very near and dear to my heart. I remember the many hours of tweaking dozens of layers by hand for this kind of effect. The worst part of it was the results from hours of work weren’t nearly as nice as when spending minutes with Eye Candy.

This is what you’ll learn to make.

In my own defense, metallic extrusions aren’t the easiest things to make in the first place. But don’t let that intimidate you. Jim has put you on a fast-track to making realistic machine parts with a fraction of the time and effort that I used to spend making them.

We have bunches of other tutorials in our support articles area. Head over and check them out.

About the Author:

Jimmy is the marketing nerd at Alien Skin. He makes workflow training tutorials, handles affiliates, writes for the blog, manages our contributing authors, governs our social media, and he is the king of swag orders. He also makes a mean cup of espresso, so if you stop by the office, remember to give him cash tips for his efforts.
