Updates are now available for several Alien Skin products.

An Important Note: if you are using Mac OS 9, do not update your software. The new versions of these products do not work with OS 9.

What Do These Updates Address?
The Mac upgrades address compatibility issues with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. In addition, the Textures and Nature updates include some minor bug fixes, additional Help files, and a new preview option. The Image Doctor update fixes a memory consumption problem.

Do I Need to Update My Software?
As mentioned above, if you are using Mac OS 9, do not obtain these updates. The new versions of these products do not work with OS 9; only in OS X.

If you are using Windows or Mac OS X, find the version number for each Alien Skin plug-in product you own. The best place to locate this is in the About Box for the plug-in. Start your host program. Run one of the filters from the product in question. Under the About menu in the filter interface, you will see something similar to About Eye Candy 5: Nature, About Splat!, About Image Doctor, etc. Click on this. A window will pop up. The version number for your product is listed in that window.

Now, compare the version number to the list below:

If you do not have these versions (or later), please update your software.
