Jimmy finished his series of short videos on using Eye Candy. The latest are on beveled edges, glass buttons, and the color gradient editor. He also made a few videos on general Photoshop topics like batch actions and preview navigation.

Jeff made some Bokeh presets that imitate C-mount lens and pinhole camera effects. Both cause radial darkening and circular blur streaks. In the article you can download the presets and see example images. This was inspired by Taran Morgan's photos made with a real C-mount lens.
October has been a very busy month in the Alien Skin Flickr group. Take a look at the blog post to see if your shots made it in.

Recently in the blog we mentioned a fun wedding shoot from Nels Akerlund involving a motorcycle, Cameron Davidson's book of aerial photography over the Chesapeake Bay, and a short tribute to Steve Jobs.
Jeff continues to philosophize about lessons learned. Recent topics include using your smart bombs now, a verbal trick for getting people moving, the importance of trying things yourself, profit sharing, and avoiding foreign entanglements.
The blog is our fountain of information that feeds the newsletter. If you use an RSS reader then grab the feed. We post most articles to Facebook, Twitter, and sometimes the Flickr group.
