Alien Skin News: July 2011

When you install Snap Art 3, you may be surprised to find it in the Filter>Alien Skin menu. Here is a little article that visually shows where you will find Snap Art 3 and explains the move.

Whether you are just curious about Snap Art 3 or need help using it, your best bet is to check out Jimmy's slick new videos. The first one is just a minute long and gives a feel for what Snap Art can do. If you have Snap Art 3 installed then look through the rest of the videos to see how to produce some beautiful art. Jimmy did a great job of keeping each lesson short at just 2 to 4 minutes each.

If you still haven't seen how natural Snap Art 3 creations look then check out the examples page or just look at the images in the newsletter.

Snap Art 3

For months we have been checking compatibility of our current products with Mac OS Lion (version 10.7). The only problems are with the eye droppers in the color pickers of Exposure 3 and Snap Art 2.

If you own either of those Mac products, then install the latest version. Get Exposure 3 from here and Snap Art 2 from here. It is best to uninstall any old versions first, which is described in this article.

For everyone else, don't do anything. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Business Lessons

By popular demand, Jeff started a series of blog articles about business lessons we have learned at Alien Skin. The first ones are available on Work Space, Marketing, and Simplicity.

If you visit the blog you can see Snap Art 3 treatments of the Eiger, the delicious Snap Art about box, night photography, and beautiful movies. We recently helped a few customers who should have read this article on what to do when you lose your license code.

The blog is our fountain of information that feeds the newsletter. If you use an RSS reader then grab the feed. We post most articles to Facebook, Twitter, and sometimes the Flickr group.
