Alien Skin News: June 2011

We are putting the finishing touches on Snap Art 3. When Tom Welsh showed me pictures made with it, I was blown away by their clarity and handmade quality. Snap Art 2 is good already, but this is a huge step forward! You can get a sneak peak in our blog.

Snap Art 3

All the details we can share are in the blog article, but I'll answer the most common questions here. Snap Art 3 will be out in August. We will announce it on the web site, social media, and e-mail. It will cost $199 new or $99 for people who own Snap Art 1 or 2. Anyone who purchases Snap Art 2 in April 2011 or later will automatically be sent Snap Art 3 for free.

That reminds me that our free upgrade window is now 90 days (longer in this case), and we now accept PayPal.

A chance encounter with my high school English teacher inspired a new benefit at Alien Skin Software. Each employee gets to direct a $1000 contribution to their favorite charity each year. Read the article to see what our team cares about.

Our Flickr group pool has exploded with great new photography since the last newsletter. Here is a taste of the blog post.

Blog

As usual, the blog is full of fun, such as an exploding breakfast, alien landscape, some art and humor from Simon Griffiths, tips on using our Photoshop panels, interactive sky maps, and our most popular tutorial videos.

The blog is our fountain of information that feeds the newsletter. If you use an RSS reader then grab the feed. We post most articles to Facebook, Twitter, and sometimes the Flickr group.
