Bokeh Kicking Butt
We’re getting lots of compliments on Bokeh, our new lens simulator! There has been a quick series of Bokeh reviews appearing on blogs from Robert Lachman, John Milleker, David Thiel, and Clay White. It’s great to see grass roots support popping up long before the big magazines get around to talking about Bokeh. A common theme we are hearing from customers is that Bokeh is a good alternative to expensive lenses. Clay White says it pretty well: “Want that current rage - tilt/shift effect? Hold onto your Lensbabies and do it in post processing with Bokeh!”
In just the last week we have added a bunch of new videos, tutorials, and reviews to the Bokeh web pages. If you want to learn more about Bokeh, you can see lots of video tutorials, examples, case studies, reviews, or try the 30-day fully functional demo.

Exposure 2 won a 2008 Pop Award in Popular Photography magazine’s Buyer’s Guide issue. In that same issue, Debbie Grossman included Exposure 2 in her “Must-have Programs” list. Exposure was the only plug-in on those lists!
Speaking of Exposure, this is a good time to mention that it contains a bunch of cool Polaroid settings. Sadly, Polaroid film is finally being discontinued. You can try the Polaroid settings yourself with Exposure’s free 30-day demo.

Blow Up Reviews
Blow Up 2 reviews keep rolling in at a steady pace. Here are some of the latest.
Theano Nikitas wrote a short but sweet review of Blow Up 2 in the December issue of Photo District News. Some of her many compliments are, “The user interface has been revamped and is incredibly easy to use,” and, “I especially like the check box to have the plug-in duplicate the image before resizing.”
Michelle Delio at Mac|Life magazine gave Blow Up 4 out of 5 little squares. She says, “For more complicated resizing jobs, Alien Skin’s Blow Up 2 plug-in for Photoshop is awesome. We tried it with a dozen images, and with great photos, we could increase the size by about 150 percent with virtually no visible loss of image quality. Some strongly graphic images could be pushed twice as far.”
The3DStudio.com gave Blow Up 5 out of 5 stars. This review ends wonderfully with, “The real question is: Why Adobe hasn’t bought up Alien Skin and simply included all of their cool plugins right into Photoshop? The3dStudio.com gives BlowUp 2 from Alien Skin Software 5 out of 5 stars, and two enlarged thumbs up.”
