Haiti Relief |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Over $10,000 for Haiti ReliefIn February 2010 we had a sale to benefit Haiti’s earthquake recovery. See the original announcement below for details. In the end Alien Skin Software donated over $10,000 which includes sale proceeds and a donation made early in February. Thanks to our customers for their generosity and to everyone in the press who helped promote this project! Alien Skin Software and individual employees like me have already donated to Haiti relief organizations. To encourage others to help, we are having a store-wide 20% off sale through the end of February, 2010. 10% of our profits for the entire month of February (not just from the sale) will be donated to funds specifically for Haiti through the Red Cross and the Community Coalition for Haiti.
Long time friend of Alien Skin, Cameron Davidson, has been photographing and helping the Haitian people for the past 10 years through the Community Coalition for Haiti (CCH). The earthquake photos on our site were shot by Cameron. He is on the board of the CCH, which is a 501(c)(3) NGO that recently sent its seventh team of volunteer medical professionals to Jacmel, Haiti. To learn more or to make a tax deductible donation, visit their web site at www.cchaiti.org. Visit Cameron’s Web site here or his blog here to see his recent photos of the disaster and others going all the way back to 1999. The main charity I give to is the American Red Cross, both monetarily and through frequent blood donations. Your dollars can do a lot of good through a donation at www.redcross.org or through our sale, but also please consider giving blood. There is no substitute for this most precious resource. Thanks,Jeff Butterworth Queen Bee, Alien Skin Software
