bio

Cameron Davidson, a twenty-five year resident of the Washington DC metro area, is an award-winning aerial and portrait photographer. His images have illustrated stories in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, National Geographic, Preservation, Virginia Living, and Smithsonian magazines. His environmental work with organizations like Ducks Unlimited and Audubon Magazine is ongoing and was most recently recognized with the Environmental Issues award from Nature's Best Magazine for his photo essay on mountain top removal coal mining. The award-winning image is on exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History until May, 2009.

Cameron Davidson has published five books of his aerial photography with two more on the way.

Cameron uses Exposure 2 on all of his images. He says it is the last step in his workflow. Typically he uses Kodachrome 25, Kodachrome 200, and Velvia 100 on an adjustment layer at 70% opacity.
