Robert Alvarado says, “I'm actually just a regular guy, doing what I love. I've been predominately doing pin-up type photography for the last 3 years as it seems to fit my style very well. I am a very visual person, and I have always been drawn to art and anything graphic. I have always appreciated the female form and, growing up in the late 50's early 60's, I can recall looking at all the magazines with illustrations of women. I have basically turned those memories into the art form you see in my images today. It is a very nice thing that others appreciate what I do and for that I am very grateful.
I must say that I have had a lot of help in the form of great make Up Artists, Hair Stylists and stunning models. When you have a good team to work with you are bound to get good results. I just hope others enjoy the art form as much as I do. The biggest thing in my photography is... having fun!”
"After I have the image to my liking, the last thing I do is use Exposure 2. I like the grain film filters and usually use the Kodak Ektachrome EES, Fuji NPH 400, or Cross Processed Provia. I really just play around with each one till I get the effect I like. After I run Exposure, having output the effect on a new layer, I just adjust the opacity of the Exposure layer to taste. This is one of the best things about Exposure is that it puts the effect on its own layers, making adjustment a breeze."
