bio

Sandra Selle-Rodriguez began her journey into the world of art at only 13 years of age when she had her first art show. Through the years she has studied with many notable artists, including a skilled master trained in England to restore Old Master’s paintings. Influenced by the works of the masters, especially Van Gogh, C’ezanne and Degas, she has produced paintings using many materials and mediums, from oil and acrylic on canvas and board to color pencil illustration on various types of paper.

Opening the two original photos in Photoshop, I cut and pasted the palm trees and mountains creating the composition I wanted and worked with adjustments to achieve the colors.

I then merged the files and used Alien Skin Snap Art filters, Settings, Basic, Colors and Lighting to create the final image.
The final step was to open the image in InDesign and applied text.

The choices from Alien Skin Snap Art are amazing and endless.

My customer wanted 6 canvas panels at 24”X48” each. To accomplish this I opened each original high resolution photo into Photoshop, applied adjustments, hue saturations. I then used Blow Up 2 for the first step of enlarging each of the two original photos to 27”X18”.

I then used Snap Art’s Impasto filter, noting the information from choices in Settings, Basic, Colors and Lighting. The choices are endless, I applied the same choices to both the photos. I just worked with the files until I had the results I wanted.

Next I dropped the two photos into a Photoshop document 48X18” used the Photoshop cloning tool to merge the seam and divided it into 6 panels 8”X18” each.

The final step was to enlarge each panel to the final size to 24” X 48” each. Note: This process takes a while due to the size, be patient. The end result was amazing when comparing results from enlarging in Photoshop compared to Blow Up 2. We did comparisons at the printers and using Photoshop to enlarge panels just did not work. This job would have been impossible without Blow Up 2.
